Bollywood Is Now Taking India to the World
A few years back, Bollywood was only considered to be the poor cousin of Hollywood. The song and dance were considered to be some masala, and films were only about emotions and drama. The opinion has vastly changed today, with more and more Hollywood film-makers roping in Indian actors in their films. Now the industry is not just about music and drama, but about great actors and breathtaking music.
Bollywood in the past decade has risen to not just the expectations of their own, but also to the world on a whole. From LAGAAN to MY NAME IS KHAN, from Rahman to Hrithik Roshan, the journey has been truly vivacious and splendid.
The beginning of this year has already seen some great achievements by the fraternity. A R Rahman won the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards for Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours. Rahman also was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award at the World Economic Forum. His popularity is just rising with every passing day, and Rahman is also expected to bag the Oscars for the second time now this year.
