A journalist-friend the other day went on a visit to Turkey. After her return, she said that the Turkish shopkeepers were crazy about Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. The shopkeepers demanded more info about them. Turkey surely seems to be a Bollywood crazy nation. The Middle East, Russia and Europe are already crazy about Bollywood. But Latin America, the land of football, Ricky Martin and Che Guevara, also has a huge Bollywood fan following.

One would find really strange, yet elated to know that the girls out there, after watching our KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAMs and DABANGGs have started wearing Bindi! They also enquire about Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and other actors of Bollywood. They want to act in our movies and learn Hindi, and in fact are picking up what they can from the films. They are desperate to learn some Bollywood dancing, as dancing is a passion her, with popular dance forms like Samba and Salsa finding their roots in the region. So the folks out there are trying to shake their feet to Bhangra! They never miss their films, and people are seen thronging to the theaters to watch a masala Hindi movie.
