Will Vidya Succeed In Giving Justice To Jessica?

As we all have read that NO ONE KILLED JESSICA is based on the controversial murder of model Jessica Lal, the movie is set to hit the floors on January 7, 2011. It is a political thriller where Vidya is playing the character of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal. Rani Mukherjee is also a part of the film and will play the role of a journalist.
 
Jessica’s sister, Sabrina fought with the whole jurisdiction to get justice. Unlike real Sabrina, who is more composed and calm, Vidya’s character in the movie is vulnerable and naïve. While this the first time, when Rani is playing a character of crime reporter. Her role too is equally important because in this case media played a major part.

Vidya is currently leaving no stone unturned for promoting the film. You can see her in every TV show and every news channel. She is travelling to every city in India to encourage people to go and watch her film. There was even news about Vidya collapsing while promoting the movie at some event. Vidya, relax!

Playing a character so close to the victim might have been a difficult task for Vidya. The world is aware of the Jessica Lal’s murder controversy. Jessica was a model in New Delhi. She was shot in a party where she was working as a celebrity barmaid. The acquitted was punished in 2006 after seven years.

While the trailers of the movie seems very promising, all I can hope is that the movie reaches out to the audiences so that everybody in this nation finally comes to know the story behind such tragedy. I wish that the movie proves to be the right channel for Jessica Lal’s story. May her soul rest in peace!
